Spoilt for choice in Wigan

With a number of properties ready to move into at the end of June, buyers at Barratt Manchester's Holme Park development in Wigan will be spoilt for choice.

For those seeking three bedrooms there is a choice of the ever-popular Palmerston and the flexibly designed Kentmere. And for those looking for an additional bedroom, there are two detached Alderneys also available at the same time.

And, says sales negotiator Jill Timmins, the three bedroom homes are also available under the Head Start scheme which gives first time buyers and key workers the chance to get a foot on the property ladder.

Under Head Start buyers own 100 per cent of the property from day one, but only need to pay 85 per cent to Barratt. The remaining 15 per cent only becomes payable when the property is sold, transferred or after ten years, whichever is sooner, and is calculated on the value of the property at that time.

"It's a great scheme and for those in a position to move there are added incentives," says Jill. "But for those who haven't managed to sell their existing home, we will offer 100 per cent part exchange which takes all the hassle out of having a home up for sale."

The development is close to Wigan town centre, plus various leisure and sporting facilities.

The Alderneys are on release at £209,115, the Kentmeres at £177,350 for an end property and £167,600 for a mid-mews. The Palmerstons are available for £140,250.
