Bellway Manchester receives health and safety accolade

For two consecutive years, health and safety at work has been a top priority for Bellway Manchester. Receiving this award again in 2008 recognises the commitment that the housebuilder has made to all aspects of performance in this important area.
Much more than simply reducing the number of accidents and cases of ill health at work, the RoSPA awards are designed to reward organisations that promote good health and safety systems in the workplace. They are widely recognised as an independent indication of a company’s commitment to best practice.
Before any organisation receives a RoSPA award, its directors and senior managers must first undergo a stringent evaluation of systems, processes and training policies to ensure that they are worthy of such prestigious accreditation.
Construction director at Bellway Manchester, Lincoln Ahern, comments: “We are thrilled to have been presented with our second silver RoSPA award. It is a prestigious award and a fantastic achievement for the company which demonstrates how committed we are towards the safety of our employees.”
Based in Warrington, Bellway is one of the region’s leading regional homebuilders with a reputation for quality, service and customer care. The company currently has 17 developments across the North West and is committed to employee training and development, health and safety and sustainable construction practices.
