Countryside Properties stops time in Mossley

Time stood still in Mossley this week as pupils from Micklehurst All Saints C of E Primary School buried their very own time capsule on the grounds of Countryside Properties' Whitegates on Micklehurst Road.

Preserving a snap-shot of summer 2008, the time capsule was filled with relics such as school photographs and a school t shirt, as well as a possible glimpse into the years ahead with a specially designed ‘house of the future'.

Hoping that the capsule will make its way through time, and provide insight into Mossley as it is today, pupil Samuel Hardman commented: "We had loads of fun making everything to put into the time capsule. I hope it stays down there for hundreds of years and is found by my grandchildren. That would be ace."

Residents at Whitegates and Mossley locals were invited to join Countryside Properties' sales consultant Gaynor Sands and site manager Nick Leigh to enjoy the ceremony which took place at the stunning development, located in the heart of the beautiful Tame Valley, just over the hill from Ashton-Under-Lyne.

Countryside Properties donated £500 to Micklehurst All Saints C of E Primary School as a thank you for helping to make the occasion such a success.
