First time buyers are being given a huge boost by Barratt Manchester. The one and two bedroom apartments now on release at The Heathers development in Hyde are for sale under the Dream Start scheme - which means buyers pay just 75 per cent of the asking price - paying the remainder later.

"Dream Start is a great opportunity for first time buyers and key workers," says sales negotiator Nikki Smith.

Under Dream Start buyers pay just 75 per cent of the asking price to secure 100 per cent of the property. The remaining 25 per cent is only payable when the property is sold, transferred or after 10 years, whichever is the soonest. The 25 per cent is calculated on the value of the property at that time.

The apartments will be ready to move to into August.

Also on release are a number of four bedroom detached properties and three bedroom mews homes.

The apartments start at £118,950, which is £89,212 under Dream Start.
