Modern, different and affordable

15th December 2008 Print
Modern, different and affordable Evolution is better than revolution they say. Miller Homes has applied this principle to the design of the fabulous new ‘Darwen' three-bedroom family home, two of which are now released for sale at its Finley Park development in Farnworth.

Just a few years ago a Miller Homes architect sat down with a clean sheet of paper and started to plan a home for 21st century living. The design set about meeting two distinct needs. To be traditional brick construction, because people like to see traditional qualities in the homes they purchase and to create a property that offers more in contemporary space, style and comfort. The ‘Darwen' is the result, and full marks go to Miller Homes for innovation and appeal.

The ‘Darwen' has a ‘Tardis' like quality, in that the double angled frontage as seen from the outside leads to an amazing amount of living space on the inside. This will appeal to people looking for a distinctive home that is a little bit different. As soon as you walk through the front door the sizeable hallway offers an attractive welcoming space, so unusual in a modern three bedroom home. This leads to a bright kitchen, which opens out in to a separate dining area. This open plan concept caters beautifully for a busy couple or family, where dining and entertaining can combine perfectly. French doors give easy access out into the garden and enable parents to keep an eye on children playing or party guests to wander outdoors. On the other side of the hallway is a roomy through lounge, which also has French doors for garden access.

Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, two double bed size and the third for a single bed or would make an ideal nursery or home office. The geometry of the master bedroom makes this a special place to retreat to and having its own en-suite means queuing for the separate family bathroom in the morning will be a thing of the past.

Priced right...

Not only has each ‘Darwen' been reduced by £20,000, to £159,995, they are also included in the Miller Movers scheme. This scheme gives homebuyers added extras, including removal fees, redundancy cover protection and carpets, along with £500 towards legal fees and £500 to cover survey costs. Buyers also receive £5,000 towards their deposit or can take advantage of Miller Homes' part exchange option, to make it quicker and easier to move if they have an existing property to sell.

By purchasing one of the two remaining homes at Finley Park, people can become part of the new community Miller Homes has created at the development, with its mix of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments and 3 and 4 bedroom houses.

Miller Homes knows buyers are not only looking for a great new home but also one that is located in a friendly neighbourhood, with good facilities. That's why the company not only builds its homes to the highest quality but also ensures they are situated where people want to live. Finley Park ticks all these boxes. It combines the appeal of lively urban living, such as having shops, bars and restaurants close by, with the advantages of private parking and easy motorway access.
