New Year, new prices from George Wimpey

New Year, new prices from George Wimpey For those looking for an exciting change in 2009, George Wimpey Manchester is offering credit crunch-defying new prices and offers at its Great Sankey development Saxon Park.

The housebuilder is bringing in the new year with new prices for its remaining homes - the Richmond and Richmond II. Prices now start from just £149,995 for the plot of the week - a four bedroom detached Richmond II.

On entering the Richmond and Richmond II homes, you will find a kitchen, lounge with patio doors opening into the back garden, separate dining room and cloakroom, whilst the first floor has a family bathroom and four bedrooms - one of which benefits from built-in wardrobes and en-suite facilities. Both housetypes also have an integral single garage and private garden.

Barbara Gornell, sales manager for Saxon Park, says: "We are giving our buyers the very best price on our final homes here at Saxon Park and have a dedicated sales team on hand to help with every step of the purchase. Our Easy Start and Easymover schemes are also available to make buying as easy as possible, whichever rung of the property ladder you are on."

George Wimpey's successful Easy Start scheme is back by popular demand at Saxon Park for those who are starting out in the property market, after a successful first round at the development. The scheme allows the purchaser to own 100% of their new home for 85% of the price. All the buyer needs to do is secure a mortgage on 85% of the property while George Wimpey steps in and provides an interest-free loan on the remaining 15% of the purchase price for up to ten years. From day one, the purchaser owns 100% of their new home for 85% of the price.

For those not buying for the fist time, the Easymover scheme is here to help. It allows buyers who still have their current home to sell, to choose a new George Wimpey property and pay a £250 reservation fee to secure the plot. Two free initial valuations from two independent estate agents are then received before George Wimpey and the purchaser agree a marketing price for the current property based on the valuations.

George Wimpey and the appointed estate agents will then undertake an extensive marketing campaign to sell the current property within 12 weeks, with George Wimpey covering the estate agents' fees.

Saxon Park is located on Forest Way in Great Sankey, Warrington, a five-minute drive from the M62. The development has excellent rail links from Bank Quay Station and Central Station in Warrington town centre.

Warrington itself boasts a wealth of shopping and leisure facilities with the town's newly refurbished and expanded Golden Square Retail Centre featuring a vast range of high street shops including a flagship Debenhams store, Marks & Spencer and Next.

Also close to the Saxon Park development are several local parks and nature reserves, ideal for family days out. Sankey Valley Park is only a short distance away, which follows the historic course of the Sankey Valley Canal.
