13 proves lucky in Wigan

13 proves lucky in Wigan Whilst normally associated with superstition and misfortune, the number 13 is to prove lucky for one new home buyer in Wigan. At The Pavilions on Prescott Lane in Kitt Green, a popular new-home development within walking distrance of Wigan town centre, plot 13, the three/four bedroom Kempton Mews, is being offered with Persimmon’s Helping Hand Shared Equity offer.

With Persimmon’s Helping Hand shared equity scheme, purchasers pay for a percentage of the property, in this case 85 per cent, yet they own it entirely. The remaining 15 percent is not payable for up to ten years or until the home is re-sold - whichever comes first and there’s no interest to pay on the outstanding balance for the first five years.

Claire Jarvis, Persimmon’s sales manager, said: “The shared equity incentive makes a real difference to purchasers as it allows them to take out a mortgage which they feel comfortable with to pay for the initial 85 per cent and hold off paying for the remaining 15 per cent for a few years until they feel more financially secure.

“However, with this offer on one plot only at the development our message is clear – act quickly, or you run the risk of missing out.”

The purchase price for plot 13 is £159,995 however, with Persimmon’s shared equity, is just £135,995! Buying a new home has never been so affordable.

The Pavilions is a development of one to five bedroom properties situated in an up and coming residential location between Liverpool and Manchester, in the heart of rural West Lancashire. The development is excellent for commuting and is a few minutes drive from the A577, linking onto junction 26 of the M6 at the M58 Interchange. Wigan can also be reached from junction 6 of the M61, providing easy access to the commercial centres across the region.
