HomeBuy Direct is a hit with Blackley buyers

The scheme, called HomeBuy Direct, provides buyers with an interest free equity loan for up to 30 per cent of the value of a property. The interest free equity loan is co-funded by the Homes and Communities Agency and George Wimpey and is available to potential purchasers who have an annual household income of less than £60,000, subject to eligibility and affordability checks*.
Since it was introduced at Northgate, George Wimpey says interest in the development from potential first time buyers has rocketed.
Regional sales and marketing manager Anthony Mansfield said: “The scheme is designed to help overcome the hurdles of high mortgage costs and larger deposits, which we know are preventing some people from buying. HomeBuy Direct offers a great way for purchasers to afford their dream home and is ideal for many first time buyers.”
Northgate is one of only three Taylor Wimpey developments in the region that offers the scheme, with a number of two bedroom apartments being made available via HomeBuy Direct priced from just £59,497.
Each apartment comes complete with kitchen, living room, bathroom and allocated parking space.
