Hot stuff – from VHT

Hot stuff – from VHT What do NASA, aircraft, automotive manufacturers and motorsport all have in common? They all use VHT coatings. While these products have found applications in some of the most sensational platforms for new technology – the space shuttle and B-2 "Stealth" bomber, to name but two – VHT coatings have somewhat more down-to-earth appeal with automotive enthusiasts.

VHT boasts a wide range of aerosol finishes for equally varied applications, including heat-proof coatings for exhaust systems, custom dyes for vinyl and carpets, plastic coatings for automotive interiors and marine applications, as well as more traditional paint finishes for engines, chassis components and brake callipers.

VHT FlameProof is a blend of ceramic and silicone chips originally engineered for NASA use on space-bound and atmospheric re-entry spacecraft. When correctly applied to metallic or other heat-stable surfaces, this sophisticated coating remains impervious to temperatures as high as 1500°F (815 deg C).

VHT Penetrating Colour Dye is not a paint, but a true dye, which permanently changes the colour of the underlying base. It is resistant to cracking and fading, and is ideal for use on automotive interiors, motorcycle seats, boat interiors, and even around the home. VHT Penetrating Colour Dye works particularly well on vinyl and short-nap carpet either to restore or to change the colour of the surface.

VHT Plastic Paint is specifically formulated for automotive interior plastics. It is scratch-resistant, does not flake and withstands the sort of heat build-up common in automotive interiors.
