Barratt bids farewell to Weston-Super-Mare

Barratt bids farewell to Weston-Super-Mare After 11 years playing an integral role in the renaissance of Weston-Super-Mare, Barratt is bidding a farewell to development in the town with the final reservations at its latest development The Park.

Barratt’s sales director Louise Ware said the developer has played a key role in providing new homes for the burgeoning population and building for everyone from the first time buyers through to growing families and those downsizing.

“Demand for new homes has remained high for the 11 years we have been building various developments in and around Weston-Super-Mare and we have played an integral role in the community,’’ said Louise.

“In addition to building the new homes we have sponsored local sports teams and last year sponsored the town’s Christmas lights so we are sorry to say goodbye to building here,’’ she said.

“But development land here is now in such short supply that we are looking further afield.’’

While Barratt is now completing work at The Park, Britain’s largest housebuilder is actively building in Highbridge with The Exchange and Portishead with the Westpoint development.
