Exclusive launch event for Norton Fitzwarren development

23rd November 2007 Print
Barratt is holding an exclusive event on Friday 30th November to launch the first phase of prestigious properties at its long-awaited Norton Fitzwarren development Old Cider Works.

The Old Cider Works event is to be held at the nearby Village Hall, from midday until 7.30pm. Prospective buyers can talk to Barratt sales negotiators and view detailed plans of the beautiful new homes available.

Released at the launch will be a number of two bedroom apartments, two bedroom coach houses and the three double-bedroom, three storey Norbury townhouse design, which has proved very popular at Barratt’s nearby Bridgwater development Rio because of it’s versatile living arrangements.

The new development is situated at the foot of the Quantock Hills and is just outside the thriving market town of Taunton. It will comprise modern two, three and four bedroom homes.

“The Old Cider Works, as the name suggests, is a regeneration of a disused cider plant and is within easy reach of both the town and the surrounding villages for all of your day-to-day needs and hobbies,” said Caroline Hill, sales director at Barratt.

“We are looking forward to welcoming visitors to the launch of the first phase at the Village Hall. Interest has been high since the development’s conception, from local people as well as from homehunters looking from further afield.”

There is a highly rated primary school in the village of Norton Fitzwarren and it has local shops, hairdressers and a pub, yet has easy access to the town of Taunton with its great shops and leisure facilities as well as heritage sites such as Taunton Castle. Taunton also has a mainline train station with trains to London and west towards Devon.

The M5 is close by, offering a straightforward commute to the city of Bristol, and is also a gateway to the south west, including the region’s excellent beaches and national parks. The neighbouring village of Oake has an excellent golf club and close by is the Hankridge Farm retail park with cinema, gym, ten pin bowling and great shopping outlets.

Also in the area is the start of the West Somerset Railway, a great tourist attraction which offers regular daily steam services through to Minehead. Much loved by railway enthusiasts, the West Somerset Railway runs some of the last steam engine trains in the UK.
