Part exchange offers new start for young couple Moving to a larger property may be easier than you think - especially if you would like to buy a brand new home at Barratt's Fieldways development in the village of Paulton, Somerset.

Claire Perry (31) and Charlie Benwell (30) have purchased a brand new four-bedroom house at the site, using Barratt's part exchange option.

"We were living in a terraced home in the village and wanted to move somewhere bigger as we're getting married in August," Claire said.

"We fell in love with the Dumont house style because it's an ideal family home and the part exchange option has made it so much easier for us to move.

"Barratt make a guaranteed fixed price offer on an existing home within 48 hours and there are no agency fees," she continued. "Also, there's none of the worry of dealing with viewers or unstable chains.

"Our new home is a semi-detached house with a spacious lounge and an open-plan, integrated kitchen with diner," Claire added. "I love the layout as it's much more sociable than in our old property.

"Also, I think this development is great for the village. It's built on the site of an old factory but the new house exteriors have a stone finish similar to older buildings in the area, so everything blends in.

"Another bonus is the fact that these new homes are so much cheaper than properties in Bristol and Bath," she continued.

"Charlie and I both work in the city centres but, thanks to this new development, we can still enjoy village life in a new and spacious home."

When complete, Fieldways will offer a selection of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes. Current availability includes two bedroom coach houses from £179,500 up to large four bedroom detached homes from £381,995.

Paulton is a large village located to the north of the Mendip Hills and local amenities include supermarkets, a library, schools and pubs. The village is close to the market town of Midsomer Norton and the former coal-mining town of Radstock. The A37 and A39 provide easy links to the cities of Bristol and Bath.
