Site manager finds a bit of Westford's history Midas Homes is appealing to local people in Somerset for more information after salvaging an old wooden clock at its Westford Grange development in Westford, near Wellington in Somerset. Westford Grange is being built on the land of the old Westford Mill factory - a woollen textile mill which dates back to 1780 and was in use for some 154 years.

Robert Gort, Site Manager for the development, recently discovered the four foot round clock which he believes was used at the old Westford Mill factory.

Speaking about his find he said: "It looks like a really interesting clock and it would be a shame not to know a bit about its history. If anyone has any information or photographs of it in use we would love to hear from you."

Called Westford Grange and priced from £124,950, the new development will comprise one and two bedroom apartments, two bedroom coach houses, plus three and four bedroom houses, set in three attractive enclaves within a larger cul-de-sac.

Westford Grange is located in the quiet hamlet of Westford, minutes away from the bustling town of Wellington and Taunton is approximately seven miles away. The development is also within easy reach of the M5 offering direct links to Exeter and Bristol.

If you have any information on the clock or for further information on the new homes development, visit the Sales and Marketing Suite, off Rackfield in Westford, near Wellington, open Thursdays to Mondays, 11am - 5pm, or log on to Midashomes.com.
