Bargains for first-time buyers at Barratt's Festival First-time buyers can snap up a bargain at Barratt's Festival development in Bridgwater, where a number of apartments are available at reduced prices. "We have a selection of apartments priced from £110,000 to £115,000 and we can offer some great deals at the moment," reports Louise Terry, Barratt sales manager.

"A Milton style two-bedroom apartment, originally priced at £115,000, is now available for just £97,750 through our Head Start scheme for first-time buyers.

"Under the Head Start scheme, they secure a mortgage for 85 per cent of the total property price and Barratt finances the remaining 15 per cent for up to 10 years. It's a great incentive for people who want to get a foot on the property ladder."

When complete, Festival will offer a selection of apartments and three and four-bedroom houses. The next phase of development, due to be released in 2009, will include apartments with views over the River Parrett.

Festival is located in a prime position just a short walk from the town centre and there is a canal and tow path close to the site. Bridgwater has recently been the focus of regeneration and offers a variety of shops and amenities.

Nearby towns include Taunton, Weston and Street, with its famous Clarks' Shopping Village. Commuting is easy as the M5 motorway offers speedy access to Bristol, Taunton and Exeter.
