Primary kids get tour of new development

Youngsters from Bishops Lydeard Primary School in Taunton enjoyed a real treat recently, when they were given a tour of David Wilson Homes’ nearby development The Lydeards.

The reception class of children aged four and five, visited the development as part of learning about construction and the building industry.

David Wilson Homes’ sales director Bernice Mckenna said the contracts manager Mark Clynshaw and site manager Graham Watson had been delighted to play host to the little visitors.

“The children saw foundations being dug and then went on to view a house under construction,” Bernice commented. “We play an integral role in the communities in which we build and it’s great to see young children learning more about house building close to home.”

Mark added: “We took the children through every stage of a house build from the materials we use to the techniques needed to construct a home, they had a wonderful time.”

The Lydeards is a select development of just 26 three and four bedroom homes with prices starting at £199,950 for a three bedroom home.

Bernice looks forward to the launch of this stunning new development which is anticipated to open in April.
