Part-ex to a new home at the Old Cider Works

Part-ex to a new home at the Old Cider Works Moving to a larger home may be easier than you think, especially if you would like to buy a family house at Barratt’s Old Cider Works development in Norton Fitzwarren.

Dawn Bawler and husband Duncan took advantage of the developer’s part exchange deal and moved from an apartment to a three-bedroom house at the site.

“The part exchange deal was great and made our move so much easier,” said Dawn (25), a surveyor. “It removes all the uncertainty, because Barratt is a guaranteed cash buyer - so there is no chain, no last-minute price haggling and no hidden costs.

“Also, you can stay in your old home until the new one is ready, so I had plenty of time to prepare for the move and it was virtually hassle-free.”

Dawn and Duncan chose a three-bedroom Maidstone house, which came with carpets, a fridge/freezer, double oven and carport.

“It’s a lovely house with a massive lounge and a kitchen/diner, which is great for entertaining, especially after you have been used to living in a one-bedroom flat,” Dawn continued.

“Also, the development is in a fantastic location, close to countryside but also within easy reach of Taunton, and there will be local shops here when the site is complete.”

Current availability at The Old Cider Works includes three-bedroom Norbury townhouses with garages or carports, priced from £199,950. Two storey, three-bedroom houses will be available by late spring, with prices starting from £170,950. Part exchange is available to buyers who are moving up to a larger property.

Nestling at the foot of the Quantock Hills, The Old Cider Works is located just outside the market town of Taunton. Major roads like the A38 and the M5 provide easy access to the south west. Taunton also has a mainline train station, with trains to London and west towards Devon.
