Manheim Auctions wins remarketing contract with Hartwell

4th December 2008 Print
Manheim Auctions has won an exclusive remarketing contract with Hartwell PLC for the managed disposal of up to 4,000 vehicles annually through its auction centres in Bristol and Leeds. Hartwell PLC became the first of the major dealer groups to adopt a remarketing policy through auctions more than 20 years ago which encouraged other dealer groups to consider auctions as a credible and viable disposal channel.

Commenting on the exclusive contract with Manheim Auctions, Patrick Lawrence, Hartwell PLC’s Used Car Manager said: “We have been using auctions for many years now and have become increasingly aware of Manheim and its various operations in the UK. This exclusive contract is in recognition of Manheim’s capability, experience and dedication to deliver a high level of service.”

Alan Cureton, Manheim Auctions’ Dealer Sales Director added: “I am delighted that Hartwell PLC has decided to award this exclusive remarketing contract to Manheim Auctions. As one of the first major dealer groups to adopt an auction policy more than 20 years ago Hartwell PLC has already shown the way for many others. I would hope that Hartwell’s decision to award this exclusive contract to Manheim Auctions will result in other dealer groups reviewing their existing remarketing policies.”
