New homes for Hambleton

A planning application for 89 new homes has been approved, and these will be a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes – offering something for buyers on all rungs of the property ladder.
The award-winning developer has a strong track record across the region, with current developments in Leeds, Bingley, Barnsley, Bridlington, Norton near Malton, Doncaster and Grimsby.
The company is also making its mark on Selby by bringing its acclaimed range of affordable first time buyer Debut homes to the city later this year, where prices start from under £60,000, as well as continuing the success of established family development Abbey Fields in Osgodby.
Julie Rayner, sales director for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire) says: “They say that the third time is a charm, and we certainly believe that Mulberry Grange, our third venture into Selby, is going to be a hit with buyers. The homes have been designed to blend into the local surroundings and a central equipped play area will create a focal point for the new community.”
As part of the planning permission, the house builder is making a sizable financial contribution to the local area. This will go toward a variety of initiatives, including improving local recreation, NHS and recycling facilities, as well as making highway improvements in the area.
Julie continues: “Building new homes isn’t just about bricks and mortar, it’s about enhancing and creating communities, and by investing in the local area we hope to contribute to Hambleton’s continuing success. Mulberry Grange benefits from a fantastic location not just near to Selby, but close to Leeds and York as well, and this coupled with the variety of property available means that we’re expecting demand to be high.”
Located in the semi-rural village of Hambleton, Mulberry Grange will offer residents easy access to both country and city lifestyles. Selby is located just five miles away, with its wealth of high street shopping and amenities. There are two major supermarkets within the town centre as well as a railway station with direct routes to Leeds, York and London, ideal for commuters. The development is also well positioned to take advantage of the motorway and main road network, with the A1 and M62 both nearby.
Mulberry Grange is planned to launch in September this year.
