Best of both worlds in Hambleton

Village life with city connections – that’s the promise of Redrow’s latest new homes development in Hambleton, North Yorkshire. The first properties at Mulberry Grange are due to be released for sale at the end of August and will offer a choice of two, three and four-bedroom homes in a semi-rural location; yet just five miles from the high street shopping and amenities of Selby.

The town of Selby also has a railway station with direct routes to Leeds, York and London, while the development itself is just off the A63 and only 10 minutes from the A1, to offer quick and easy links to the motorway network.

Sue Lambert, sales director for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire), says: “Mulberry Grange will be a great choice for people who like a quieter life and a more rural feel to their home environment, but can’t bear the thought of missing out. Everything they could need is easily attainable in nearby Selby or with a short trip to Leeds or York.”

The village of Hambleton itself includes a general stores/post office, three pubs, a primary school, doctor’s surgery and a village hall. And, although there has been new development like Redrow’s in recent years, the core of the village still retains a strong rural character thanks to surviving farm complexes.

Redrow’s newest development of 85 properties is located off Station Road, in Hambleton, and the site enjoys open aspects to two sides. The property mix will include terraced, semi and detached homes, with prices expected to start in the region of £195,000. The first properties should be ready to move into before the end of the year.

The development will include public open space and an equipped play area. Through the planning process, Redrow has also made a sizable financial contribution to local recreation, NHS provision and recycling facilities, as well as making highway improvements in the area.

Mulberry Grange is one of three Redrow developments in the Selby area. Abbey Fields in Osgodby has just a few family homes remaining, whilst Debut at Selby – launching in September - will introduce the company’s innovative and award winning first time buyer product, with prices from below £60,000.
