Used cars in leasing boom

4th December 2008 Print
The number of companies offering high quality pre-owned vehicles on competitive contract hire and leasing deals is on the increase, according to ContractHireAndLeasing.com.

More dealerships are looking at creative ways of selling pre-owned vehicles and the sudden increase has been attributed to the growing market in personal leasing and the current economic climate.

“We have noticed a significant uplift in the number of pre-owned vehicles being advertised on ContractHireAndLeasing.com, many of the deals are very competitive which is helping to stimulate even more interest with the large number of users that regularly visit our website.” comments Richard Lawton, Marketing Manager for Really Good Domains.

“Currently, traditional routes to market for many car dealerships are slowing down due to the economic climate. What we have discovered is that there is a growing demand for high quality pre-owned vehicles on contract hire and leasing deals. It is definitely a win-win situation; the dealerships are selling more used vehicles using this method while consumers and businesses benefit by getting a great deal on their next vehicle.”

ContractHireAndLeasing.com advertiser, DSG Auto Contracts, is one such company to begin offering contract hire of their used vehicles. Operations Director, Philip Kehoe says; “Customers are expecting so much more for their money at the moment and despite the car manufacturers offering big registration bonus’s to shift new cars, used cars on contracts can still work out much cheaper. Twelve months ago our customers would not have even considered a used car as a viable option, now we have major finance and leasing companies arranging deals with the likes of VW and Audi. I am sure used car leasing will continue to grow in popularity during 2009 and as a business we are well equipped to handle this requirement.”
