Happy 1st birthday to Barratt

Managers at Barratt York held a surprise party for staff to celebrate the housebuilder’s first anniversary in new premises at Monks Cross North business park, York.

Paul Newman, managing director said: “As the country’s biggest housebuilder we are always helping other people to move into new homes, so we thought it was only right that we celebrate our own achievements too. We’ve had a fantastic year in our new premises and all the staff have worked very hard to make sure that everything has run smoothly. The party was a small token of our appreciation for their continued dedication and commitment.”

As well as champagne and birthday cake the party goers also enjoyed a selection of party foods including traditional jelly and ice cream – a must for all first birthday parties!

The York division of Barratt Homes employs around 300 people and is developing new homes throughout York and North Yorkshire as well as East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.
