Jacky swaps Wimpey for Whale Bones

Jacky swaps Wimpey for Whale Bones George Wimpey North Yorkshire sales executive Jacky Prouse swapped her site shoes for hiking boots when she took part in the Whale Bones Walk, to raise money for Cleveland Search and Rescue team. Jacky is a six year veteran of the 24 mile hike, having been introduced to it when she volunteered for the Rescue team, and was this year backed by George Wimpey to complete the gruelling hike across the North York Moors.

Jacky said: "I really enjoy doing the hike and this year I took my daughter along. She's only 22 but by the end she could hardly walk! I had a really good time, we were lucky with the weather, and I raised about £400, including the donation from George Wimpey.

"Every year I say never again, but I will probably be taking part again next year."

Beverley Russell, regional sales manager for George Wimpey North Yorkshire, said: "We were very happy to support Jacky in the Whale Bones Walk and I'm glad to see she had a good time. We are always keen to get involved with local good causes and when Jacky suggested this one we could not turn her down."

Jacky is based at George Wimpey's Thorntree Vale development in Thornaby, an impressive development consisting of over 300 properties, including one and two bedroom apartments, two bedroom mews homes, three bedroom terraced homes, and three and four bedroom, three storey townhouses.

For more information on Thorntree Vale call into the sales information centre on Master Road which is open seven days a week, between 11.30am and 5.30pm.
