Exchange & Mart launch new service to sell your car by text

5th December 2008 Print
All you need now to sell your used car is your mobile phone with the launch of Snap It Sell It from Exchange & Mart. Following a successful trial of the service, Snap It Sell It is available nationally and gives the consumer another way to advertise their car.

For just £5, you can harness the power of one of the UK’s leading motoring marketplaces for second hand cars. Get your car in front of almost a million potential buyers, just by simply texting a photo of your car to Exchange & Mart. By return Exchange & Mart will send you a text acknowledging your photograph and ask you to complete a handful of questions by text, such as registration number, mileage, postcode and asking price. And that’s it. Exchange & Mart will then create you the perfect online advert on exchangeandmart.co.uk, complete with picture and full details on your car - all professionally designed for maximum impact.

The service works by using your registration number to research your vehicle type, saving you the time it takes to compose an advert. Not only do Exchange & Mart create a fully detailed advert, you get 14 days exposure on exchangeandmart.co.uk, one of the UK’s busiest online marketplaces – all for just a fiver. And payment is easy too. No messing around with credit cards, instead billing is arranged through your mobile phone provider.

The service is the latest innovation from Exchange & Mart following the successful launch of their valuation service – also via text for just £1.50.

Debra Healy, Digital Director at Exchange & Mart says, “Our latest offering was designed to give consumers another choice in how to place their car ads, and provides just as good value as placing an ad directly online at exchangeandmart.co.uk. So together with the SMS Valuations service, we now provide consumers even greater convenience when valuing and selling their cars. Online or on the road, our web and mobile phone services give sellers the tools they need at the touch of a few buttons.”
