Confidence returns in Yorkshire

1st July 2008 Print
Confidence returns in Yorkshire Contrary to reports regarding the lack of consumer confidence in the property market, York-based Persimmon Homes Yorkshire is thrilled to be bucking the trend. With ten sales over the past week, Persimmon's upbeat figures fly in the face of opinion from some quarters that the UK housing market is in decline.

"While the national press perpetuates negative stories about the property market, in contrast we are seeing continued demand across all our developments," commented Karen Harrowell, sales director for Persimmon Homes Yorkshire.

"We have been extremely busy for the past few months and, although conflicting news about the property market may have unnerved a handful of potential purchasers, the reality is, we are experiencing continued high demand for new homes.

"The stability of the relatively low interest rate combined with extremely competitively priced properties and the availability of tailored home moving incentives has resulted in this success and it's great to know that when people decide to buy, they are choosing Persimmon."

Karen attributes Persimmon's success to a number of factors including their realistic approach to selling homes, sensible pricing and first class service and products. She continues: "The whole team should be commended for achieving such buoyant sales figures. Our experienced sales advisers are adept in offering skilled, impartial advice and we pride ourselves on the fact that we are able to offer a one-stop-shop - somewhere visitors can come to glean expert help during every step of the home moving process."

Persimmon is currently creating new communities in Bedale, Bridlington, Brough, Driffield, Easingwold, Kingswood, Knaresborough, Hessle, Hull, Market Weighton, Pocklington, Selby, Sherburn in Elmet, Thirsk, Withernsea and York.
