Ashton on show in Spennymoor

7th July 2008 Print
Ashton on show in Spennymoor George Wimpey North Yorkshire is planning a grand summer event for the new Ashton show home at the developer's Moorcroft site in Spennymoor. A steel band and stilt walkers will provide entertainment at the launch, which takes place on 12th July, but the Ashton itself is the main attraction and house hunters looking for a spacious family home can experience first hand exactly what this property has to offer.

The Ashton show home ground floor comprises an entrance hall leading through to a spacious lounge, dining room, cloakroom and large kitchen featuring an additional dining and family area, which along with the lounge has French doors that lead out onto the rear garden.

The first floor features four bedrooms, one with en-suite, and a family bathroom all located off the main landing. The Ashton comes with a private garden and single garage with prices starting from £270,000.

Maria Gatehouse, sales manager for Moorcroft, said: "Actually visiting a furnished home and getting the feel for the interior space and the possible finishes is a big influencing factor when customers decide if a certain house type suits their living needs. The new Ashton show home certainly makes a wonderful impression."

Moorcroft is situated on Grayson Road, Middlestone Moor, and consists of four bedroom detached, four bedroom, three storey townhouses and three bedroom homes, surrounded by beautiful open fields.

The small town of Spennymoor is the perfect location for a family development, benefiting from an excellent range of local amenities and schools. The historical city of Durham is also only a short drive away, providing a further wealth of shopping and leisure facilities.

Nearby Jubilee Park offers a peaceful haven for walkers and joggers, while sports fans will delight in the development's proximity to Sedgefield Racecourse and the local leisure centre which offers a swimming pool, football coaching, martial arts tutoring, tennis and badminton lessons and a gymnasium.

Moorcroft is also perfectly placed for transport, providing commuters easy access to the A688, A177, A181 and A1.

For more information about the development, call into the sales information centre on Morrison Street, open seven days a week, between 10am and 5.30pm. Details can also be found on Georgewimpey.co.uk.
