Generosity starts at home
A generous donation from housebuilder Antler Homes to the annual Cononley Gala will ensure that much needed funds from the event can be ploughed into renewing the village’s play equipment.By being a major sponsor for the event and sponsoring two bouncy castles and a giant slide – both key attractions at the “Heroes and Heroines” themed event – Antler Homes has helped to reduce the outgoings of running the gala and, in turn, will help to maximise profits.
Richard Mansell, Gala Co-ordinator, says: “The Cononley Gala is the main event in the village calendar and it is a time when the whole of the community comes together. The event is hugely supported with hundreds of visitors each year, and all funds made on the day will be used to maintain and improve the playing fields for the benefit of the village. The donation by Antler Homes was extremely generous, and it was just what the committee needed and will mean that we will be a step closer to having enough funds to replace some of the existing play equipment and re-design the playing fields which is our aim over the next two years.”
Nicola Dean, Sales and Marketing Director for Antler Homes, says: “Antler Homes always likes to give something back to the local communities in which it builds. The annual Cononley Gala seemed like the perfect event to sponsor and we are delighted to offer our support.”
Antler Homes’ Riverdale Ings development in Cononley Lane offers a selection of three and four bedroom family homes on the banks of the River Aire. Prices start at £220,000 and the show home is open daily between 10am and 5pm.
