Success at Steeplechase

11th August 2009 Print
Success at Steeplechase Sales are booming at Steeplechase, George Wimpey Yorkshire’s popular Selby development, with 15 homes already sold this year and many more homebuyers keen to register their interest on a daily basis.

The development has only three Theakston, three-storey homes remaining for completion this year, with a waiting list for more four bedroom properties next year.

George Wimpey sales and marketing director Anne Bagshaw said: “Business has been brisk in recent months with many buyers keen to take advantage of the improving property climate.

“Three-storey living has become incredibly popular at the development and this has been reflected in the number of homes sold. Homebuyers have been keen to experience the benefits of living over three floors for themselves such as the extra space and flexibility it offers.”

Currently available at Steeplechase are three Theakston four bedroom townhouses starting at a price of £159,995, while a range of four bedroom detached properties are available from £244,995 for 2010 completion.

On the ground floor the Theakston boasts a large kitchen with dining area in addition to a spacious lounge with French doors which lead onto the rear garden.

The first floor comprises the family bathroom and two bedrooms, one of which can also be used as a study, while the upper floor is home to a further two bedrooms including a master bedroom which benefits from an en-suite.

The housebuilder is offering a range of packages to help buyers net their ideal home at the development such as part exchange and a selection of schemes tailored for first time buyers.

George Wimpey sales and marketing director Anne Bagshaw commented:

“Steeplechase has been like a magnet with new homebuyers. Everyone who has walked through the doors has loved every aspect of the development such as the location, the housetypes and the fact that they can part exchange their old home to make the move quicker and much easier. In fact two-thirds of the homes sold at Steeplechase have been as a result of our part exchange scheme.”

Anne continued: “The most stressful aspect of buying a new home is selling your current property. With part exchange you don’t have to worry about whether your house will sell and in what timescale because we buy your home from you so you are effectively not in a chain. This speeds up the whole process and you can move into your new home very quickly.”

Perfectly positioned in a leafy part of Brayton, Steeple Chase retains a rural charm, with views of the surrounding fields and St Winifred's Church, while being just minutes from the market town of Selby and its abundance of shops and amenities.

The area is a delight for lovers of the great outdoors with Brayton Barff, a beautiful wooded hill, just a short walk away for relaxing walks and picnics.

When complete, the development will comprise 138 homes comprising three and four bedroom homes and two bedroom apartments.
