Mondial Assistance wins the confidence of TUI

Mondial Assistance has won a major new contract with leisure travel group, TUI Travel UK & Ireland, to provide a complete travel insurance solution for its Agents and Customers alike. In what is believed to be one of the largest travel insurance contracts of the UK and Irish travel market, the agreement cements Mondial Assistance’s reputation as one of the country’s leading travel insurance service providers.

TUI Travel UK & Ireland will become an Appointed Representative of Mondial Assistance, and Mondial will provide underwriting capacity for both the UK and Ireland through its insurance arm: Elvia Travel Insurance International. In addition, Mondial will provide claims management and international medical assistance for travellers. In-branch sales and compliance training will be delivered in partnership with Citybond Suretravel, who will also act as the medical screening provider for the contract.

The recently formed TUI Travel PLC gave rise to the creation of TUI Travel UK & Ireland, which merged some of the UK’s largest household travel names including Thomson and First Choice Holidays.
