Thule Excellence: The roof box has evolved

Thule, the world’s largest manufacturer of car roof rack systems, roof boxes and accessories have unveiled a new super-power of the roof box world - the exclusive 520 litre Thule Excellence.

Launched at international automotive industry trade fair, Automechanika, the Excellence roof box boasts fearless power, strength and size through its rugged design, solid materials and high load capacity.

The UV protected, reinforced glossy black lid is marked with a striking silver ‘X’. Both lid and base contain strengthened elements and have been developed and tested to withstand high structural impact.

Peter Barker, UK general manager of Thule said at the launch: “The Excellence is an outstanding roof box, both in technical design and aesthetics. Its superior size, impressive features and top of the range functions making the Excellence a roof box to envy.”

The hybrid roof box possesses superb handling performance whilst allowing easy access to the car boot. Its Power-Grip mounting system allows fast and secure fitting, whilst smooth opening mechanisms from newly developed Dual-force lid lifters and anti-flex elements allow you to open and close the roof box with ease and speed. Central locking ensures the Excellence remains strong and resilient from unwanted intruders, as well as the elements.

The Thule Excellence can hold up to eight pairs of skis or snowboards and comes with a protective lid cover to store the box safely. As with all Thule roof boxes, safety comes as standard and the Excellence has been tested and approved at Thule’s City Crash facility and comes with a five year guarantee.
