Housebuilder reveals some secrets of show home Barratt Northampton has revealed some of the design touches to a spectacular show home due to launch in February in Oakley, near Bedford, created by award winning interior designer, Geoff Moss.

The Orchards development off the Pavenham Road is using an impressive four bedroom Holly Lodge property to showcase the high-specification homes available.

Just ten properties are being built including four and five bedroom detached homes and three bedroom bungalows.

Geoff Moss is the man behind the ‘wow’ factor design, and has previously won a prestigious show house interior design award.

He said: “To sum up the design – it’s opulent, rich and exudes quality throughout. There’s no doubt that there’s been no expense spared with making this a very memorable home – it’s striking and thoroughly tasteful.”

Just some highlights include a centre piece in the master bedroom – a purple mirrored headboard with a wide and detailed black frame.

Geoff continued: “Anybody that recognises quality and good design will appreciate the designer names I’ve included in this home. Fabrics and furniture by Osborne & Little and Andrew Martin all reflect the ‘top-end’ feel of this property.”

One of Geoff’s favourite rooms is the lounge. He said: “I’ve mixed gold and purple striped wallpaper and sofas – it has a luxurious and stylish feel.

“And complementary black chrome lighting, very in-vogue at present, ensures the detail is also of the finest quality.”

The Orchards has a picturesque village setting and is just a few miles from Bedford, which has a direct train link to London St. Pancras. There is also easy access to the A6.

Buyers interested in seeing the show home can register their interest at Barratthomes.co.uk.
