New development has something for everyone

27th April 2009 Print
New development has something for everyone A new development with apartments for first-time buyers and spacious houses for growing families is opening early next month in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire – and will bring a welcome boost to the local property market.

The eagerly anticipated Heath Meadows development will comprise 199 two-bedroom apartments and two, three and four-bedroom homes off Churchill Road, north-east of the town centre. The first phase of homes to be released for sale will feature family-sized four-bedroom detached houses and townhouses, and at the centre of the development there will be a large green-space for recreation and a play area for younger children.

Tony Woodman, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for George Wimpey, developer of the site, says: “With only a handful of homes currently coming onto the market each month in Leighton Buzzard, many would-be movers are struggling to find a new home that’s right for them in this popular town.

“We believe Heath Meadows will increase the opportunity for local people to get moving – and with a great range of incentives to help first-time buyers get onto the property ladder, and to help existing home-owners sell their current properties, moving to a brand new home is a hassle-free option.”

All four-bedroom homes available in the first release of properties this May will be finished to a high standard specification including a fitted kitchen with built-in oven, hob and hood.

Heath Meadows lies in the popular Leighton-Linslade area of Leighton Buzzard, well-served by local amenities including a nursery and schools for children of all ages, and just a mile from the town centre, home to a wide selection of high street and independent stores, a twice-weekly market and a wealth of pubs, restaurants, health clubs and leisure facilities.

Quick links to London make the development highly desirable for commuters – the A5 and M1 are within easy reach, putting the capital just an hour away by car, while the town rail station offers regular services to London and the North.

Those travelling further a field will appreciate that Luton Airport is just 18 miles from the development.

The showhome and Sales Centre at Heath Meadows will open in May. To find out more about the new homes, visit the website at Georgewimpey.co.uk.
