Local site manager wins prestigious NHBC award Crest Nicholson (South) Ltd. is delighted to announce that Alan Holmes, Site Manager at the company’s Meadow Walk scheme in Henlow, has been recognised for his hard work by winning a coveted Quality Award at the National House Builders Council (NHBC) ‘Pride in the Job’ Awards.

The competition is a highly respected award in the house building industry and reflects the high standards and expertise of Site Managers at carefully chosen developments across the UK.

Alan, from Lower Stondon, has played an important role in the delivery of the popular Meadow Walk development in Henlow, Bedfordshire which comprises a stunning collection of three, four and five bedroom houses in the heart of this picturesque village.

Now in its 29th year, NHBC's ‘Pride in the Job’ is the only national competition to focus on the contribution that Site Managers make in producing high quality new homes. Alan is one of thirteen Crest Nicholson Site Managers to be hand picked from over 18,000 contestants to win a Quality Award and go through to the second stage ‘Seal of Excellence’ Awards in the autumn.

Eddie Costello, Build Director at Crest Nicholson (South) Ltd comments: “This is a real achievement for Alan and the team at Meadow Walk and they should be very proud that their hard work has been recognised on a national level. In the current economic climate, awards such as these are more important than ever and are testament to the fact that Crest Nicholson continues to deliver high quality homes. The award reflects the high standards of properties that can be found at Meadow Walk and we wish Alan the best of luck in the next round of the competition.”

Henlow offers wide appeal for first time buyers, young professionals and families alike, and Meadow Walk is expected to attract a high level of interest from home buyers looking to move closer to schools and good transport links in the area, as well as local buyers looking to upgrade to a higher comprehensive specification. In addition to spacious fully fitted contemporary kitchens and bathrooms, Crest Nicholson also provides prospective purchasers with the opportunity to co-ordinate various features of internal finish to suit individual requirements, subject to stage of construction.

Prices at Meadow Walk start from just £209,950 for a three bedroom home with properties available for £146,965 with the government backed HomeBuy Direct scheme. For further information email the development at meadowwalk@crestnicholson.com or visit crestnicholson.com/meadowwalk. The
