Fountains Court - Worcester show home Witley Court in Worcestershire was once one of England’s greatest country houses.

Although in ruins now, visitors can still envisage the splendour it represented at a time when family life in such surroundings was lived on a grand scale.

Just along the road from Witley Court, Bloor Homes have taken a modern look at family living and created a collection of homes that represent 21st century elegance and comfortable living. And while ballrooms and servants quarters no longer feature in home designs, Bloor are proving that space and elegance can be a feature of modern homes.

Sales adviser Diane Barbierato says: “Fountain Court has proved an instant success. We only have 18 plots here nearly half are sold already with many purchasers having bought off plan. It has a lot of attractions, not least the beautiful setting in the lee of the Malvern Hills. Visitors are simply falling in love with the location and the homes we are building here.”

Now open at Fountain Court is the development’s Worcester show home which shows just how modern elegance and family living can be combined. The Worcester’s large footprint has given its designers the opportunity to create a generous and flexible layout with space for all the family to enjoy. The principal room in the Worcester is its dual-aspect living room which extends from a deep bay at the front to French windows at the rear, with access from the hall way and separate double doors into the dining room. Creating a focal point is modern take on an inglenook fireplace.

With the spacious dining room, which has a deep square bay, for formal meals, there is ample additional space to create a comfortable family eating area in the well-fitted kitchen. And for those families who like the kitchen to form the heart of the home for day-to-day life, there is an additional family sitting room opening out off the kitchen. Completing the ground floor accommodation is a study large enough to create an efficient home office.

Upstairs, Bloor has created three spacious double bedrooms, all with fitted wardrobe space plus two generous singles, one also with a fitted wardrobe. There is a large family bathroom and an en-suite shower room serving the principal bedroom.

Currently on release at Fountain Court is a choice of four-bedroom detached homes priced from £308,950 to £489,250 plus two large three-bedroom detached bungalows at £365,650 and £370,750. For further information, visit bloorhomes.com.
