Luxury to view at Doe Bank

Luxury to view at Doe Bank Visitors to Bloor Homes’ Doe Bank development in Astwood Bank can now get a real flavour of the luxury living on offer by viewing its superb new show home.

Set in a private cul-de-sac, sheltered by a wooded coppice and with magnificent views of the surrounding Worcestershire countryside, Doe Bank is a collection of five individually designed luxury homes. Chosen to showcase the development is the spacious five-bedroom Charlesworth. Sales adviser Jenny Hayes says: “With the size and proportions of the rooms, the interior designers have been able to create a real show piece here. They have chosen a very elegant scheme using rich colours and textures which show how beautifully this works as a family home.”

All of the plots at Doe Bank occupy a large footprint which is reflected by the range of living accommodation. In the Charlesworth, for example, there is a large reception hall which gives access to each of the principal rooms. The living room is particularly well-proportioned, with a remote-control living-gas fire inset into a modern-style inglenook fireplace. There is a substantial dining room for formal entertaining while the kitchen offers space for more relaxed family meals. There is also a study and cloakroom.

On the first floor three of the five bedrooms are doubles. The principal bedroom has a complete wall of built-in wardrobes plus en-suite with bath and shower, while the second bedroom has a dressing area with an en-suite shower room. A real bonus in this home is the creative use of the loft space which has been turned into a large studio room with a shower room off. Jenny says: “The designers have made this into a games room, but the possibilities are endless. It would make a superb retreat for a teenager or a workroom or office which could be completely independent of the main house.”

The specification at Doe Bank also underscores its luxury status. The kitchens are superbly designed and include a range cooker with a chimney hood, American style fridge/freezer, Hotpoint dishwasher – and even a foldaway DVD player incorporated into the kitchen units. There is ceramic flooring throughout the hall, kitchen and utility rooms as well as in the bathrooms and en-suites, tiling is from the Porcelanosa range and the kitchen worksurfaces are polished granite.

The Charlesworth show home is priced at £699,950 and the remaining five-bedroom homes at Doe Bank range from £624,950 to £724,950. For more information visit, bloorhomes.com.
