Chateau Impney Hotel Two iconic Droitwich hotels have been put on the market by its owner, The Impney Group, through Knight Frank’s Hotels department for a combined guide price of £33.5 million.

The iconic Grade II listed Chateau Impney Hotel on the outskirts of Droitwich Spa, the Worcestershire Victorian spa town, is set in approximately 144 acres and comprises 124 existing bedrooms and apartments, with planning permission for a further 169 bedrooms and suites, and extensive exhibition and conference facilities. The guide price is £25 million. Its sister hotel, The Raven Hotel in Droitwich town centre, has 72 bedrooms and is on the market with a guide price of £7.5 million.

Chateau Impney was built in a classic French Renaissance chateau style in about 1875 by John Corbett, the son of a wealthy bargee from Staffordshire, as a present for his French Governess wife. The Raven Hotel, in Droitwich town centre, opposite the Lido Park and approximately one and a half miles from junction 5 of the M5, is believed to date from the 16th Century with more recent additions.

Dominic Mayes, head of hotels, Knight Frank, said: ”The sale of these unique hotels represents a rare opportunity to acquire iconic, nationally recognised properties with significant development potential. Chateau Impney Hotel will appeal to a wide range of potential purchasers to include local and national investors, hotel operators and more specialist destination conference and exhibition operators. The Raven Hotel will attract similar purchasers as it not only occupies a superb position but can accommodate significant conference business.”

Since purchasing the hotels, The Impney Group has undertaken significant developments at the Chateau Impney to include the construction of The Regent Centre, a 30,000 sq ft exhibition and conference hall. The Raven Hotel has been progressively upgraded to its current 72 bedrooms with a number of conference rooms.

Knight Frank’s Hotels teams in London and Birmingham are acting on behalf of The Impney Group. For further information, visit knightfrank.com.
