Miller makes the grade in Kidderminster

Miller Homes sales negotiator, Michelle Hill, who works at Kidderminster development Badger's Dene has recently completed her level 3 Sale of Residential Property NVQ, for the top ten housebuilder. Another 10 members of the sales team in the West Midlands are now working through or have already qualified under the guidance of Miller Homes.

For the Housebuilder of the Year, staff development is recognised as an important part of a happy team and it is highly encouraged by the company.

Michelle, from Kings Norton, moved to the Badger's Dene scheme on Franchise Street after working at the developer's successful Westfield scheme in Wolverhampton. She is now working alongside Helen Kington, who has also completed the NVQ qualification.

Both are using their expert knowledge to advise on the variety of houses and apartments that are available at Badger's Dene; scheme offers an eclectic mix of properties to suit most needs and tastes and with a number of good schools within a mile and a host of restaurants, bars, parks and a gym and leisure centre all within walking distance it's a great location.

Badger's Dene also has a select number of properties available to purchase through Miller's popular MiWay scheme, which allows homebuyers to pay just 75% initially for a home on the development whilst owning 100% of the property.

Linda explains: "Firstly, through the scheme, customers apply for only 75% of the finance and Miller Homes effectively put down the other 25% deposit on the new property. This means that buyers may be eligible for 75% mortgage schemes which generally can with more competitive rates.

"Secondly, we are offering to share some of the risk of any potential fall in house prices. When the loan term is up, after ten years - or earlier if the buyer chooses to sell before the end of the term - the amount repayable will depend on the open market valuation of the property at that time."

The construction of the Badger's Dene development is being led by double awarding winning site manager, Lyndon Bennett, who has twice earned accolades for building high quality developments by industry body NHBC (National House Building Council) and assistant site manager David Thompson.
