Redrow teams up with Ystrad Mynach agent

Set the village of Ystrad Mynach, it has stunning views of the surrounding countryside and its affordability makes it a great choice for people looking for a beautiful and easy to manage new property.
And now it is even easier for homebuyers to sell their existing property and speed up a hassle-free move to their dream home, since Redrow joined forces with local estate agents Lucas Treherne to jointly promote its Mastermove service.
Mastermove allows customers to ‘hold’ a Redrow home for up to four weeks whilst a carefully chosen local estate agent manages the sale of their existing property, leaving them free to concentrate on moving. When the purchase is complete, Redrow not only refunds the £50 Mastermove fee, but will also pay up to £2,000 of the agent’s fees.
Helen Lucas, of local estate agents Lucas Treherne, believes Mastermove is a stress-free and efficient way for people to sell their existing property.
She said: “We’re less than half a mile from Cwm Calon so people can pop in anytime and ask us about the homes for sale.
“We opened in Ystrad Mynach in November last year, but I have 20 years experience in the industry and my business partner Ron Treherne has more than 30 years experience.
“We have a great relationship with Redrow and through their Mastermove service we can take care of selling a customer’s house so they can move into their dream home faster.
“Cwm Calon is an amazing development and great for the area as a whole. It’s a lovely place to live and it’s got great transport and rail links. Along with the new hospital that is being built nearby, it will really put Ystrad Mynach on the map.”
Debby Pavitt, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Wales), said: “At Cwm Calon, Redrow is creating an urban village environment on the site of the former Penallta Colliery, where Groundwork Caerphilly has already created a neighbouring community park of some 180 hectares.
“The immediate amenities of Ystrad Mynach and the town of Caerphilly are close by, while for commuters there are good road and rail links for the 14-mile journey south to Cardiff.”
Redrow’s Cwm Calon development is part of a wider regeneration of the site, which will eventually also see the refurbishment of the colliery’s power hall, winding towers, ancillary buildings and two lakes.
