Redrow kits out under 8’s for the rainy season

An award-winning house builder has bought a brand new set of waterproof jackets for a young football team to kit them out for the wet season ahead. Redrow sponsored Fleur-De-Lys A.F.C, based near Blackwood, Caerphilly, so they could purchase the rain coats as part of their winter training kit.

The trendy black zip-up jackets are ideal to keep out the wind and rain as the under 8’s side train with dedicated coach Jason Needs.

Delighted Mr Needs said: “They’re all kitted out for the winter period now. We’re very pleased with them and the quality is very good.

“All members of the squad have been fully equipped including coaching staff. They’ll wear them all the time because we train outdoors. They’ll probably get more wear out the of the rain jackets than they will out of their kits because of all this wet weather we’ve been having”

Redrow donated £375 to the club, which was set up in 2000 with just eight members.

They have since gone from strength to strength and now have more than 80 members, aged between eight and 16, who all train close to Redrow’s Cwm Calon development in Ystrad Mynach.
