The Sutton at the Millbrook Development Getting on to the property ladder or climbing up it can be a worry for people, with their top concern often being affordability. In particular, people are frequently unsure exactly how much they can afford and how much the monthly mortgage repayments will be.

In recognition of this, Charles Church is holding an open weekend at its Millbrook development in Risca, where a financial advisor will be on hand to answer prospective purchaser’s queries.

On Saturday, November 3, and Sunday, November 4, between midday and 3pm, a financial advisor will be on hand to talk through the benefits of buying a new Charles Church home. They’ll also be leaving behind the jargon which is sometimes related to getting a mortgage and will be able to talk about mortgages in their simplest form.

Claire Gardner, Sales Manager for Charles Church Wales, explains: “People often get confused when it comes to buying a new house, and it can be a struggle to work out exactly how much monthly mortgage repayments are going to be and how much the purchaser can actually afford.

“Quite often, purchasers will believe that they can’t afford to buy a new home and will decide to rent instead. We want people to know that buying a new Charles Church home can be affordable.”

For example, purchasers can buy a three bedroom family home, priced at £154,995, for as little as £163 a week (subject to status) with an interest only mortgage and 10% deposit. This offer, available on plot 54 - The Sutton – highlights just how affordable a Charles Church family home can be.

Traditional in design, The Sutton is a three bedroom two storey home. The ground floor has a living room with fireplace as well as a well designed and high specification kitchen and dining room. On the first floor there are three bedrooms including the master suite which has the convenience on its own en-suite facilities. A family bathroom serves the remaining two bedrooms.

Millbrook offers purchasers a variety of one, two and three bedroom homes, some over two storeys and others spaced over three storeys. The development sits just a short stroll from the centre of Risca yet also boasts beautiful rural views of rolling hills and countryside. Newport, the third largest city in Wales, is only seven miles away. Millbrook also has good transport links, with the M4 close by.
