Charles Church takes pride in the job The NHBC (National House Building Council) has once again rewarded building site managers all over the country with the prestigious ‘Quality Award’, in the ‘Pride in the Job’ competition, and has given Charles Church Wales a reason to celebrate.

Site manager Neil Burman of Charles Church Wales received an award for his impressive work at the former site Orchard Fields, a beautiful development of three, four and five bedroom luxury homes in Oakdale. The award recognised his leadership, expertise, and commitment to excellence and safety on the job. And with more than 18,000 entries and just 400 winners, it is highly regarded in the UK property industry.

He was presented with the award by Charles Church Wales’ Managing Director, Andrew Crompton, last month. A delighted Neil Burman, who has been a site manager for six years, commented: “We were over the moon when we found out we had won. Everyone at the site worked very hard and we were really hoping we would get it.”

The ‘Pride in the Job’ award is the only one of its kind, focusing on the contribution that site managers make to a development, and it has been running since 1980.

NHBC’s Chief Executive, Imtiaz Farookhi, said: “Pride in the Job rewards site managers who demonstrate exceptional levels of professionalism in every aspect of their work on site, from their organisation of the site, to the quality controls in place.”

Charles Church has a number or developments over Wales. For further information visit the website at Charleschurch.com.
