ICFM training in high demand despite recession

22nd January 2009 Print
The Institute of Car Fleet Management’s (ICFM) range of courses are proving in high demand despite the recession, with the ICFM ‘Fast Track’ Certificate Programme leading associate members to attain the externally-endorsed Certificate in Car Fleet Management qualification (and an upgrade to full member status within the Institute) proving a sell-out. And despite anticipated training budget cuts, nobody has dropped out of the current Diploma Programme.

ICFM chairman, Roddy Graham observed: “In these really tough economic times for the fleet industry, it is good to see that fleet operations truly value their people and recognise that the money invested today in professional fleet training can reap real dividends for their businesses, now and in the future.

“I passionately believe in raising the professionalism of our industry. I also feel strongly that some organisations would be better placed to tackle the difficulties we all face if they had more professionally trained people.

“ICFM training is designed to ensure participants add value to their organisations, which is even more relevant in today’s tough trading climate.

“Those companies that nurture their talent will prove the strongest when we accelerate out of recession and be better positioned to take advantage of the favourable conditions that lie ahead at the earliest opportunity.”
