Manheim Auctions Glasgow sets the standard in Scotland

Manheim Auctions, Glasgow held a launch event week last week to mark the beginning of a new era for Manheim in Scotland following the recent transition to 100% ownership of the Glasgow operation. Manheim is the world’s largest and most successful vehicle remarketing company and provides a range of remarketing products and services that will set the benchmark for the industry in Scotland. The auction centre launch week began on Tuesday with the auction hosted by John Bailey, CEO of Manheim, UK and Europe. Over the course of the week, 676 cars and vans were sold. More than 400 buyers attended the auctions and an additional 135 buyers joined via the internet, through Manheim Simulcast.

Manheim took sole control of its Glasgow auction centre in October 2008 following a period of joint ownership, which began in August 2000. The 10 acre site located at Siemens Street, Blochairn sells approximately 20,000 vehicles each year with auctions on Tuesdays (cars), Wednesdays (commercial vehicles) and Friday evenings (cars).
