RMIF works on service level agreement for MOT
The Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMIF) is working with the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) to draft the first ever Service Level Agreement relating to MOT Testing.Although in its early stages this document will address issues relating to the level of service an MOT station can expect when VOSA carry out enforcement and inspections at their premises. It will also cover the standards that the RMIF will encourage its members to adopt.
The RMIF has already been a signatory to similar agreements with VOSA relating to Heavy Goods Vehicle Testing and Enforcement.
Stephen Coles, Head of MOT Operations commented: ‘The MOT station has always had written obligations to VOSA in respect of the operation of their test station, however VOSA’s obligations to the test station are very few. We hope that the Service Level Agreement will redress this imbalance and help the partnership between the MOT Station and VOSA to grow.’
RMIF members that want more information on the Service Level Agreement should contact the RMIF Operations Team.
