First time buyers snap up warehouse apartments

17th February 2007 Print
Sealock - exterior The latest development in the heart of Cardiff Bay has been snapped up by eager first-time buyers within hours of going on the market.

Over 300 enthusiastic buyers pre registered their interest to bag themselves one of the 22 apartments on offer at Sealock Warehouse on Burt Street. The 150 year old former warehouse, being developed by Cardiff-based Loosemore Home, sold off plan within 24 hours of launching.

In fact, such was the interest in the development that Knight Frank had 14 people interested for every one of the stylish apartments available. A situation not dissimilar to the famous sell out launch of Cardiff’s David Morgan apartments, where Knight Frank received 12 enquiries for each of the 56 apartments.

Purchasers of a Sealock Warehouse apartment have bought into the high specification of the development which features some fantastic original features including exposed brick and steel beams combined with state-of-the-art Pepper ‘pod’ kitchens and modern interiors.

Lauren Watson, Associate at Knight Frank, said: “Sealock Warehouse is a superb development with a high specification and in a prime location. With prices starting at just £99,950 we are not surprised it has been snapped up so quickly by first-time buyers looking to make their mark on the property ladder.”

Continues David Loosemore, Director of Loosemore Home: “Our aim for this development was to reach first-time buyers currently priced out of the property market and show them style can still be affordable. Cardiff Bay is a popular choice for young professionals and Sealock Warehouse has proved no different. We’re delighted with the fantastic response we’ve had.”
