TV Expert’s Tips For Tipples Wine guru Oz Clarke paid a visit to Redrow’s own ‘fruity little number’ in Cardiff Bay - tantalising the taste buds of guests with his expert advice on how to find fine wines for around a fiver.

Visitors to the magnificent Celestia development were treated to Oz’s insider know-how on how to spot a ‘corker’ of a wine for around the purse-pleasing £5 mark.

Bev Wookey, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Wales) said: “The day was a fantastic success – Oz is a seasoned professional and his advice was appreciated by all the guests at the event. He was great fun and we were delighted he came along to share his knowledge of wine with an eager audience!

“It was also very much in keeping with the lifestyle on offer at Celestia, where people are just as likely to entertain at home as enjoy the delights of local wine bars and restaurants.”

“Finding a decent bottle of wine for a little over or under five pounds can often seem like an impossible task – with so many varieties available on the shelves at such varying prices, it’s invaluable knowledge from someone like Oz that saves essential time and money for wine lovers.”

Former Daily Telegraph wine correspondent Oz produces an annual wine guide and has won numerous awards for his work. His diverse career, including a number of years as an actor for the Royal Shakespeare Company, began when he captained the wine-tasting team at Oxford University.

Oz said: “There are some great wines available for about a fiver, and in particular it’s always worth taking a look at the New World.”

Bev adds: “The combination of a quality wine at an affordable price, and the luxurious surroundings of the stunning show apartment really made the day a great success.”

Celestia is now in its final stages of completion, and its 457 apartments are set to sparkle amongst the stars of Cardiff Bay with its exceptional designs and views across the Bay – not to mention its fantastic waterfront location.

The development is made up of seven buildings – each one named after a star – and has proved extremely popular with affluent young professionals, investors and down-sizers alike, having sold many of its stunning apartments, duplexes and penthouses already.

Currently available at Celestia are a choice of beautiful one and two-bedroom apartments, priced from £170,995 and £186,995 respectively. Also currently available are two-bedroom penthouse apartments with double parking spaces, priced from £334,950.

The iconic Wales Millennium Centre is within walking distance of Celestia together with the shops and restaurants of Mermaid Quay. The Millennium Stadium is within easy reach for sports fans, not to mention the wealth of shops, restaurants, health and fitness centres and museums in Cardiff city.
