Barratt strengthens sales team in South Wales Barratt has recently appointed a new sales manager for South Wales. 28 year old Emily Carwardine brings six years property sales experience to the team and will be overseeing the launch of three of Barratt’s latest developments. Emily has an impressive sales background, having previously worked for property developers such as Redrow and David Wilson Homes.

After taking a seven month break to travel the world, on her return she decided to go back to her roots and progress her career in property. Seeking new challenges, it wasn’t long before she approached Barratt for the position of sales manager.

Emily commented on her new role: “It’s going brilliantly. There is a lot to learn and every day brings a new challenge, which is just what I wanted. I’m enjoying every minute.”

Among her new charges is the launch of Barratt’s development iPads@Cardiff Central, as well as the new Highfield Chase development in Glamorgan and Maes y Fynnon in Abercynon. Emily will also be working on the popular Parc Gellifaelog, Pennar Heights and Awel Las developments.

However, Emily isn’t the only member of her family to be sales savvy. Her mother, Annie Hoss, also works for Barratt as a sales negotiator at its Coed Castell development.

Sandra Dixon, Sales Director at Barratt, said: “This year around 600 new homes will be completed by us in South Wales, a figure set to rise to 900 by 2010. South Wales has tremendous potential for us and the demand from first time buyers through to couples and families is constantly rising. It’s important that we have the right people in place to meet this demand and we’re confident that Emily will be a strong asset to the team.”
