Homes selling fast at Barratt's Highfield Chase

Homes selling fast at Barratt's Highfield Chase Over 50 per cent of homes have already been sold at Highfield Chase, Barratt's new development in Pencoedtre Village, Barry, in the Vale of Glamorgan. "This site has been very popular with all sorts of buyers, from first-time buyers and young couples to families and older people," reports Sandra Dixon, Barratt Sales Director.

"It's hardly surprising, as Highfield Chase is a small development of just 50 homes built in a traditional style and competitively priced. The site enjoys a lovely setting and really is a great place to live."

Current availability includes a selection of Endale and Enbourne semi-detached together with Maidstone houses. All of these offer three bedrooms, a well-proportioned lounge, a fitted kitchen/breakfasting area and ground floor cloakroom. Two-bedroom houses will be released later in the year.

Prices range from £189,995 to £208,500, and buyer incentives include 5 per cent deposit paid for first-time buyers and part exchange for people moving up to a larger property.

In addition, Barratt has teamed up with the Cadarn Housing Group to offer an affordable housing scheme at the development. Three Maidstone three-bedroom houses are available at 70 per cent of the current market value and are priced between £115,500 and £119,000.

"People who qualify for the scheme receive a 30 per cent loan from the housing association, and the loan only needs to be repaid if the buyer sells the property in the future," Sandra continued.

"We consider each case that meets the affordability criteria and we can put new buyers in touch with independent financial advisors approved by the scheme.

"This initiative is very popular - we received 11 enquiries in just two days - so I would urge prospective buyers to contact us quickly," she concluded.

Highfield Chase lies just off Port Road, which leads directly to Cardiff International Airport, and the road to Sully and Dinas Powys. It is also close to the Barry Island beach resort and Barry's Cosmeston Lakes resort - which boasts a medieval village heritage project.
