Family matters for Barratt at Ty Glas Square Ty Glas Square in Cardiff has become a family affair after three sets of siblings purchased properties in Barratt's signature development in the city. Lucie and Claire Taylor, 32 year-old twin sisters who were born and brought up in nearby Newport, moved into their new three bedroom Norbury joining two sets of brothers and sisters Will and Lucy Satherly and Craig and Kylie Hughes who are already immersed in the trendy Ty Glas Square culture.

"We have been living together for five years and had been looking separately but had not been impressed with the quality of living accommodation," explained Lucie, a planning appeal officer with Newport County Council.

"As sisters, we needed two good sized bedrooms and plenty of sitting room space. The three bedroom Norbury at Ty Glas Square had two bedrooms that were exactly the same size plus fantastic guest accommodation which we can also use as living accommodation.
"We had looked at three or four sets of new builds but the flexible accommodation at Ty Glas suited us perfectly."

The sisters were able to have an input into the finishing touches. Claire, who works in marketing with a print management company, explored the options for carpets, bathrooms and other finishes and passed on advice to her sister.

"She chose and I agreed," joked Lucie who plans to live at Ty Glas Square for a number of years.

The ?269,995 Norbury has proved the preferred choice for the siblings. Doctor Lucy Satherly bought one of the popular three storey townhouses with her brother Will while the other brother sister team Craig and Kylie also purchased one, finding the flexible layout with the entrance hall, cloakroom, quality fitted kitchen, spacious lounge and dining area on the ground floor, two double bedrooms on the first floor and bedroom and ensuite bathroom on the second floor well suited for their independent needs.

It is no surprise that Ty Glas Square has gone down so well with young family members. Located in Llanishen the development is just five minute walk from a post office, convenience stores, pubs, hairdressers and supermarkets.

Cardiff city centre is only a 10-minute drive away where the choices in leisure, recreational, culture and shopping are wider and more sophisticated.
