Last chance to buy Barratt in Cardiff

7th April 2009 Print
Despite the current property downturn, Barratt South Wales is reporting a sales success in Cardiff. Barratt has just three houses available at its Ty Glas Square development before it is sold out, and only eight houses left at Vale Meadows.

Buyers wanting to purchase the Barratt brand in Cardiff should act fast though, once these last homes are sold, the housebuilder will not be building in the city for the foreseeable future.

Adrian Bird, sales director at Barratt South Wales, says: “We’ve built around 4000 new homes in the Cardiff area over the last 30 years, and despite the current market conditions, our homes are just as popular now as they ever were.

“However, we have no immediate plans to build more homes in Cardiff and since we are nearly sold out at both Ty Glas Square and Vale Meadows, we are offering some great opportunities to buyers; anyone interested should come and talk to us sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.”

Barratt has lowered its prices on the final homes remaining, and with its part exchange and mortgage protection offers, there’s never been a better time to buy.

Adrian adds: “If you can’t sell your current home, it is definitely worth looking at our part exchange scheme, where we’ll buy your old home, allowing you to purchase a brand new one. With no chains or complications to worry about, the whole process is straightforward, allowing you to move when it suits you.

“Our new mortgage protection scheme will also put minds at rest. We’ll pay your mortgage insurance policy for three years; which means if you lose your job, for example, your mortgage will be paid until 2011 because we’ve got it covered. All this adds up to a winning combination which should give buyers the confidence to move house.”

Ty Glas Square is situated in the leafy suburb of Llanishen, a ten-minute drive from Cardiff city centre. The last homes remaining include an Eskdale mid-terrace house with three bedrooms priced £219,995 and two Norbury townhouses, each with three storeys and three bedrooms, priced £219,995 and £224,995.

The scheme’s location couldn’t be more convenient for families, with local shops and a post office just a five-minute walk away. Llanishen has a leisure centre that’s open to everyone, plus a Fitness First. There’s a superb choice of good primary, secondary and sixth form schools within two miles of the development.

Ty Glas railway station is a two-minute walk away, with the train journey to central Cardiff around eight minutes; there’s also a bus stop right outside Ty Glas Square. The sales and marketing suite at Ty Glas Square, Pentland Close, Llanishen, Cardiff, South Glamorgan, CF14 5BB, is open Thursday to Monday from 11am to 6pm.

Vale Meadows is located in the pretty suburb of Radyr, only a few minutes North of Cardiff and situated on the River Taff. Radyr railway station is a five-minute walk away, with the train journey to central Cardiff around 15 minutes. Cardiff International Airport is also within easy reach, less than ten miles away.

The last homes remaining at Vale Meadows include the Kingsville mid-terrace townhouse with three bedrooms priced £234,995 and the Malvern, a five-bedroom detached property priced £399,995; the final six homes will be released shortly.
