Rugby pupil scoops prize in daffodil competition

Pupils from across the UK took part in the competition in which they were invited to submit pictures and poems of the spring flower. Ellie’s picture will now be immortalised alongside those of other regional winners in order to create Persimmon’s 2008 calendar, which will be distributed nationwide. Ellie will also receive art equipment/supplies to the value of £500 for her school plus a family ticket for a day out of their choice.
Elle’s winning picture was selected by Chris Walker, managing director for Persimmon Homes South Midlands, who comments: “We were absolutely delighted with the talent displayed in the many entries we received for the competition and selecting the regional winner was no easy task. Ellie’s entry was eventually chosen as it displayed genuine creative flair and we are very much looking forward to seeing it reproduced in the official calendar.”
To view Elle’s work, pay a visit to Coton Meadows, situated at Tuthill Furlong in Rugby.
